A Fragmented Mind, 2021

9” x 12”

Acrylic on Bristol

This was one of the first things I created when I really felt myself becoming an artist. It’s funny, there was a very distinct transition in my life between making art and creating art. I was always a creative person but was frustrated at the lack of my voice in my work. Looking back this was simply because, like learning anything, learning how to be creative takes time. You can perfect technical skills, but learning to be creative is the real challenge in art. Just breathe, it takes time and a lot of patience. embrace the imperfections and the process of making.
